I like to go on day hikes with my wife. It's also a good time for us to spend alone and catch up on what's going on in our lives. As we were hiking up in one of the local State Parks, I saw this home in the middle of a small canyon.
My insurance-oriented mind instantly wondered: How much would it cost to replace those solar panels? Do they have Building Code upgrade coverage? Do they have a water supply in case of fire? How much will it cost to clear the damaged debris after a loss?
